Berlin, Germany - More Photos From Day 2

As promised, here are more photos from Day 2.  These were taken with my 5d Mark lll.  And in true Soupy form, I do regret not taking out my DSLR more often.

Brandenburg Gate - before all the tourists arrived in the evening.

"Platz" means place in German.  Yes, I just looked that up for you on Google. The internet is our friend. :)

Patty and Jon reading about Brandenburg Gate.  Jon looks confused hehehe.

The back side of the Reichstag building.

I have  no idea what this all means.  I think it's a bus route sign... maybe.

I regret not buying that Berlin license plate sign!!!

     So many small details everywhere!

     Inside the Reichstag building.

Being in Berlin has really helped me redefine what I considered "old".  You see the contrast between old and new everywhere in Berlin.  Every corner seemed to have a story.

You wouldn't know it from this picture, but there are hoards of people below. :)

A view from the back side of Brandenburg Tor looking towards the Berlin Victory Column.  It's tiny in the photo, but more photos of that from up close to come later.

I love taking photos for the sake of photography, but one of my favorite things to do is capture a photo that embodies the mood of the moment.  This photo below captured the mood of this evening for me.  There was this man playing his guitar and singing, albeit poorly, some cover songs.  It was a very peaceful evening in a place whose history was anything but that.

I'm so glad I snapped this photo. This is a little convenience shop down the street from our Airbnb.  It's open 24 hours and the people who work here are so friendly. :)
